How to make pastry with soft persimmons

Many people love to eat persimmons. This fruit is usually picked and eaten during frost after it bears fruit in the autumn of each year. Its skin is bitter, but the flesh is extremely sweet. However, only ripe persimmons can be eaten directly and cannot be eaten on an empty stomach. In fact, the ways to eat persimmons are far more than just these. You can also use soft persimmons to make many delicious pastries. For example, you can mix it with white flour to make steamed buns, or mix it with corn flour to make pancakes.

  1. Persimmon Cake

    Ingredients: fresh persimmons, self-raising flour (if you don’t have it, you can use ordinary flour and baking powder instead), white sugar, black sesame seeds, and oil.

    Wash the fresh persimmons and place them on a plate for later use

    Peel the persimmons in step 1 one by one, remove the core, and squeeze the juice into a large bowl

    Use a rolling pin or something else to mash the persimmon juice and pulp that have been squeezed into the large bowl until it is even, as long as the pulp is not visible.

    Add a small amount of sugar to the persimmon soup in 3 first, and then pour the flour into the persimmon soup in 3 little by little, stirring while pouring to make the flour and persimmon juice gradually blend evenly. Be careful not to pour too much flour at once, as it will result in an uneven taste of the persimmon cake. After the flour and persimmon juice are all blended, you can knead it into dough, making it as soft as possible.

    Wrap the persimmon cake dough with plastic wrap or a damp cloth and leave it for 15 minutes. When the dough has risen, you can start making it.

    Before making, smooth the dough and divide it into small pieces according to the size you want. To prevent it from sticking to the panel, keep sprinkling flour on the panel.

    Roll the divided small doughs into round shapes of optional thickness, spread olive oil or cooking oil on both sides, sprinkle a little black sesame seeds on the center of both sides of the pancake, heat both sides of the pancake in the electric baking pan, put the pancake in and see both sides are browned, then you can take it out of the pan and eat it.

    2. Persimmon Pasta

    Ingredients: persimmon, white flour, yellow rice flour and corn flour.

    4. Mix the yellow rice flour and persimmon flesh in proportion and start to beat the flour with edible wood to blend the persimmon flesh and yellow rice flour together. Then make pieces of rice cakes and steam them in a steamer.

    5. After making steamed buns with the white flour you bought, put the persimmon flesh on the top of the steamed buns and eat them together.

    6. Mix cornmeal and persimmon meat together to make cornmeal persimmon cake and bake it in the oven. There are many ways to make pasta with persimmons. Some involve mixing persimmon flesh and noodles together, some involve adding persimmon flesh to the prepared noodles, and some involve using the flesh of persimmon cakes to make pasta. It depends on your choice.
