How to make Japanese grilled eel at home

In today's world where cancer is rampant, have you ever felt scared? Why is cancer, a terrible disease, getting closer and closer to humans? Dietary factors play a decisive role. Therefore, to stay away from cancer, the first thing to do is to eat healthily. The first step to healthy eating is to make it yourself at home. Next, let me introduce to you how to make Japanese grilled eel at home.

1. Buy a live river eel or sea eel, kill it, knead it with salt and wash off the mucus.

2. Cut the eel from its back, remove its head and bones, and split it into jerky; then cut it into several large slices.

3. Prepare the marinade: 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce, half a tablespoon of dark soy sauce, half a tablespoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of sugar, half a tablespoon of pepper, 3-4 tablespoons of cooking wine, 1 tablespoon of red wine, 1 tablespoon of white wine, and appropriate amounts of chopped onion, ginger and garlic, mix together into a sauce, soak the eel fillets in the sauce, add a few slices of ginger, and marinate for 3-4 hours.

4. Thread the marinated eel slices with bamboo sticks to prevent them from bending or deforming during steaming or baking and to keep them flat. Put the eel fillets on bamboo skewers into a plate, add a few slices of ginger and bay leaves, and steam over high heat until 80% cooked, which takes about 5-8 minutes; take out and set aside.

5. Add a small amount of water to the marinated soup and bring to a boil in a pot, add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, 1 tablespoon of chili sauce, a little sugar and MSG; thicken with water starch, brush it on both sides of the steamed eel fillets, place the eel fillets on a baking tray lined with tin foil, put a layer of onion rings under the eel fillets, put them in the oven at 200 degrees for 6-8 minutes, then take them out, brush them with honey, sprinkle some sesame seeds, and continue to bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Remove the bamboo skewers before serving. (The microwave oven can also be used for baking. The specific baking time varies according to the brand, so you can control the time yourself)
