How to make Sichuan style rice

Many times, we envy others for having a relative who can cook, so that we can enjoy delicious meals after get off work. Instead of envying others, it is better to do it yourself. Below we will introduce to you the method of making Sichuan-style rice.

1. Wash the beans and cut into pieces about 3 cm long.

2.Cut the pork belly into small pieces.

3. Put it in a bowl, add dark soy sauce, green onion, ginger and five-spice powder, mix well and marinate for 30 minutes.

4. Wash the rice and soak it in water for 20 minutes.

5. Heat the pan, add the marinated pork belly and stir-fry until oil comes out.

6. Add soy sauce, rock sugar, salt, water, scallion and ginger slices, stir-fry evenly, cover, bring to a boil over high heat and simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes.

7. Add the chopped beans and stew for 5 minutes.

8.Put the beans and pork belly into the bottom of the rice cooker and spread them flat.

9. Then spread the rice evenly on top.

10. Finally, pour the stewed meat broth (just enough to cover the rice).

11. Cover the lid, press the cooking button and start cooking.

12. After the button pops up, use a spatula to turn the cooked rice over, cover and continue simmering for 10 minutes.
