How to make sweet-scented yam

Many modern people spend their days in a hurry, have irregular meals and almost always eat out. On the surface it may seem like a hassle-free experience, but from a health perspective it is a very bad habit. Caring for your health starts with diet. When it comes to diet, it starts with yourself. So below I will first introduce the method of cooking osmanthus yam.

1. Wash and peel the yam. Please note that it is best to wear disposable kitchen gloves when peeling the yam. The mucus left after peeling the yam can easily cause skin allergies.

2. Cut the peeled yam into long strips as thick and long as your little finger. The cut yam strips should be immediately soaked in clean water with a few drops of white vinegar to prevent oxidation.

3. Boil water in a soup pot, the amount of water should just cover the yam. After the water boils, add rock sugar and yam. The amount of rock sugar can be more or less, depending on your preference. But don't put too much, because sugar osmanthus is very sweet. Cook for about 10 minutes and then turn off the heat. Don't take it out, let it cool naturally.

4. Pour the cooled yam and sugar water into a large bowl and put it in the refrigerator to chill. When eating, take out the yam strips, place them neatly on a plate, sprinkle with an appropriate amount of sugar osmanthus and honey, and the beautiful and delicious osmanthus yam is ready.
