How to make fried tomato sauce

There are many ways to eat tomato sauce. It can be used as a dip for French fries, to make fried rice, to mix with fruit salad, to make sweet and sour spare ribs, etc. Its sweet and sour taste is loved by many children. However, the tomato sauce bought in the supermarket always contains many additives. Many parents worry that the additives will affect their children's health. It is also very necessary for parents to know how to make healthy and delicious tomato sauce at home.

Main ingredient: tomatoes

Accessories: 6 glass bottles with lids, a blender or a juicer

step

  1. Selection and washing: Select ripe tomatoes with unbroken skin, rinse them with clean water and set aside. While washing the tomatoes, add water to a pot and bring to a boil.

  2. Boil water to wash bottles: After the water boils, pour the washed tomatoes into the pot, cover the pot, heat for 2 minutes, turn off the heat, and wait for 10 minutes. During this time, you can wash the glass bottle.

  3. Peeling: Open the lid of the pot and you will be surprised to find that the tomatoes have burst their skins - this is my little trick for peeling tomatoes. Place the peeled tomatoes in the prepared bowl.

  4. Bottle disinfection: Do not pour out the boiling water used to blanch the tomatoes. If the tomatoes are washed cleanly enough, the water will be very clean. Put the washed glass bottles together with the bottle caps into the pot, making sure that each bottle is immersed in the water. Cover the pot and simmer for 10 minutes.

  5. Cut and seed: Quarter the peeled tomatoes and remove the green seeds. In order to ensure the authentic taste of tomato sauce, the seeds must be removed! This is a time to test your patience!

  6. Juice or blend; add the chopped tomatoes to a blender or juicer, taking into account the tomato seeds. Leave the rest in the pot. It should be noted that the pot must not be an iron pot, it is best to be stainless steel. Prevent chemical reactions.

  7. Cook tomato sauce: add appropriate amount of white sugar, bring to a boil over high heat first, then turn to medium heat and slowly thicken the tomato juice; after 20 minutes, add rock sugar to the pot to make the sauce look better; finally add salt to taste.

  8. Bottle while hot: Take out the glass bottle that has been sterilized with boiling water and put the cooked tomato sauce into the bottle while it is still hot. Do not fill the bottle too full and keep 1 cm distance between the bottle mouth, then tighten the cap. After cooling, place in the refrigerator to refrigerate naturally.
