1. 2-3 days after the operation, if there is flatus from the anus, it indicates that the intestinal function has begun to recover. At this time, a small amount of liquid diet can be given. After 5-6 days, you can switch to a semi-liquid diet with less residue. During this period, the liquid should be light and nutritious, and should be taken warm to avoid ingesting coarse food residues. It is best to eat light food, with porridge being the best breakfast, and eat more vegetables for the main meal.

2. Generally speaking, you can only eat normally after ventilation and defecation after appendectomy surgery. If there is no abscess in the appendicitis and no edema in the ileocecal region, you can eat a liquid diet first, get out of bed and move around as much as possible to increase intestinal motility and facilitate the recovery of intestinal function. Reduce the intake of spicy and irritating foods and avoid drinking alcohol; eat light and easily digestible foods and avoid eating greasy foods too early; eat more high-quality protein foods, such as chicken, fish, eggs, milk, etc.; one month after the operation, after the wound has healed, you can resume a normal diet.

3. Patients with appendicitis should eat more fruits after surgery. Bananas or apples are easily digestible fruits. They contain natural antibiotics and are beneficial for detoxification and cleaning the stomach and intestines. Also eat more high-protein foods. Chicken and fish are rich in protein, which have certain functions in the body's recovery. You can use chicken or fish to make soup, such as sea bass soup, etc. The nutritional components of the soup can be more effective, which is conducive to wound healing.
