How to make Hong Kong style paper wrapped cake

1. Cut baking paper into 20x20cm squares

2. Fold the baking paper into four even corners and wrap it around the outside of the baking pan, as shown in the picture.

3. Place the baking pan from step 2 into another baking pan and press it down

4. Then take out the baking pan from above, as shown in the picture

5. Prepare all baking pans according to the above method and set aside

7. First, make the egg yolk paste: dissolve the butter in a microwave oven, add it to the milk, mix well, add the egg yolk and vanilla extract, stir evenly with a manual egg beater, then sift in the low flour and mix evenly into the egg yolk paste, set aside

8. Add tartar powder or white vinegar to egg whites, beat evenly, add sugar in 3 times, and beat until dry and foamy into meringue

9. Pour 1/3 of the whipped meringue into the egg yolk paste and mix well.

10. Pour in the remaining meringue

11. Mix gently

12. Put it into the mold lined with baking paper, 80% full

13. Put it in the preheated oven at 160 degrees and bake for 30-40 minutes. Take it out and put it on the wire rack to cool down.
