How to make Matcha Bunny Cookies

Exquisite dishes are the result of careful consideration with clever minds, but some dishes in life that look delicious and beautiful are actually not as difficult to make as imagined. Take the Matcha Bunny Cookies dish for example. Prepare the ingredients, stir-fry over medium heat until the ingredients become soft, sprinkle with chopped green onions to enhance the flavor, and then serve.

1. Soften the butter at room temperature and beat it manually until smooth. Add sugar three times and mix.

2. Add egg yolk and mix

3. Sift in flour, cut and mix evenly to form a dough

4. Divide the mixed dough into two parts, add matcha powder to one part and knead evenly

5. Divide the original dough into three portions. Make two small portions into rabbit ears (about 26 grams each) and the remaining large portion into the rabbit face.

6. Wrap the three original doughs in plastic wrap and shape them. The two small ones are pressed into flat strips, the large ones are shaped into oval strips, and the matcha dough is wrapped in plastic wrap and shaped into a flat square.

7. Put it in the refrigerator and freeze for 5 to 10 minutes until it is hard, then start assembling. First, cut the matcha dough into three 1cm wide strips, stack them in the center of the oval bunny face, wrap them with plastic wrap and press the two doughs flat with your hands.

8. Stick rabbit ear strips on both sides of the matcha dough, wrap them with plastic wrap and press them flat.

9. Cut two matcha strips that are slightly smaller than the rabbit ears strips, stick them to the outside of the rabbit ears strips, cover them with plastic wrap and press them flat, then roll up the remaining matcha dough and press them flat with plastic wrap.

10. Put the assembled strips into the refrigerator for 20 minutes, then refrigerate for 20 minutes. After freezing, cut into 5mm slices.

11. Then use black sesame seeds to make the rabbit’s eyes and mouth.

12. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees and bake for about 20 minutes. Cover with tin foil after 10 minutes to prevent the rabbit's face from burning.
