How to make mulberry and multi-grain steamed buns

1. Soak fresh mulberries in light salt water for about ten minutes, then wash and set aside.

2. Squeeze the mulberries into jam.

3. Find a basin, add a small amount of warm water to dissolve the yeast powder and mix well. Then add 1 bag of pure milk, a little sugar, 2 bowls of flour, 1 bowl of cornmeal, and the squeezed mulberry jam and mix well.

4. Knead all the ingredients evenly into dough, not too soft, cover it with a lid and let it ferment for about two hours.

5. The fermented dough has many small holes on it, like a honeycomb.

6. Knead the dough several times and make it into a long strip of dough. Don’t make the dough too thin.

7. Fold the dough like a quilt.

8. This is the steamed bun I made. You can also make it into your favorite shape.

9. Place the prepared steamed buns on a non-stick mat, put the buns in a pot with cold water, cover it with a lid and let it ferment for about twenty minutes, then steam it over high heat for twenty minutes. Turn off the heat and simmer for one minute, then take it out immediately.

10. The delicious mulberry and multi-grain steamed buns are perfectly cooked.
