Brussels sprouts recipe, more delicious

Vegan Roasted Garlic Brussels Sprouts:

raw material:

A. 600g Brussels sprouts, 10 cloves of garlic (ordinary garlic can be substituted), half a cup of basil leaves

B. 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon coarse black pepper, 1 teaspoon garlic salt and pepper, 1/2 teaspoon red pepper powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt

C. 1 tsp white rum, 1 tsp butter

Steps for vegetarian roasted garlic brussels sprouts:

1. Wash the Brussels sprouts, cut the larger ones in half and keep the smaller ones intact.

2. Peel the garlic or regular garlic and put them into a mixing bowl together with the Brussels sprouts.

3. Put all the seasonings in Material B + basil leaves into a mixing bowl, mix well and let it stand for about 30 minutes.

4. Take a baking tray and spread melted butter inside the tray.

5. Place the ingredients in a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees C for about 30 minutes.

6. Pour the white rum and the remaining butter on the surface of the vegetables and continue baking for 5 minutes until done.

Tips:

1. If you like the vegetables to be roasted till golden brown, you can extend the baking time.

2. The longer Brussels sprouts are heated, the more likely they are to taste bitter. The texture after ripening is just right with a slightly crispy feel.

3. Garlic has a crispy and sweet taste. If you want to maintain the taste, the baking time is about 30-35 minutes. If you like a soft texture, you can bake the garlic for 20 minutes first, and then mix it with the Brussels sprouts and bake together.

4. If Brussels sprouts are overcooked, they will have some peculiar smell and a slightly bitter taste, like a faint smell of sulfur. However, nutritionists say that it is this special ingredient that gives Brussels sprouts anti-cancer properties.

5. When cooking Brussels sprouts, it is recommended to bake or stir-fry them. Cooking in water is the easiest way to lose nutrients and also results in a bad taste.
