How to make sweet and sour lotus root box

1. Add appropriate amount of water to flour to make a thick paste, chop ginger into fine pieces, and chop green onions. Then add minced ginger, chopped green onion, pepper powder, two spoons of soy sauce (leave one spoon for later use), starch, eggs, and cooking wine into the minced meat and stir clockwise for about one minute.

2. Cut the lotus root into slices about 0.3cm thick. Do not cut it with the first cut, but cut it with the second cut to make it into a clip shape.

3. Embed the minced meat between the two slices of each lotus root slice

4. Place the pan on high heat and add oil until it is 70% hot, then turn to medium-low heat, then coat the lotus root slices with batter and fry them in the pan. Fry until golden brown

5. Remove from the oil and place on a plate for later use

6. Pour out all the oil in the pot, pour one tablespoon (about 2 taels) of water, add sugar and simmer over low heat until it turns yellow.

7. Pour in the juice made of vinegar, soy sauce, starch and MSG, and stir constantly to prevent the starch from becoming lumpy.

8. Add lotus root box, mix well, remove from heat, place on plate, sprinkle with cooked white sesame seeds and start eating.
