How to make Chinese cabbage and minced meat noodles

1. The minced meat is frozen. Take it out and thaw it the night before. It would be best if you have fresh one. The amount of Chinese cabbage depends on the number of people. I made a portion for three people and used eight leaves, which felt a bit too little. The combination of green and red peppers is for aesthetics, but you can leave them out if you don’t like spicy food.

2. This is the kind of noodles I use. The round noodles have a great texture and aren’t too soft when cooked. After preparing the ingredients, you can boil water in a pot first. It takes time to boil a large pot of cold water. Then you can wash and cut the vegetables while the water is boiling.

3. So after cutting all the vegetables (cut them into small pieces), add soy sauce and soy sauce paste to the minced meat (this is most recommended, it is a very good ingredient, of course you don’t have it, you can use dark soy sauce instead), add some pepper and chicken essence. Stir well. Prepare to fry in the pan.

4. After the minced meat is fried, remove from the pan and set aside. At this time the water has boiled, put the noodles in and cook. Remember to turn to medium heat when the water boils again, otherwise it will spray out.

5. Put the noodles in the pot and heat the oil. Add the chopped ginger and garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add the green and red peppers and stir-fry. Then throw the cabbage stalks in and stir-fry first, as the leaves are easier to cook. If you are lazy, you can also pour them into the pot and stir-fry them together. There is no need to turn down the heat. Stir-frying the cabbage over a higher heat will make it taste better and contain more moisture.

6. After stir-frying the cabbage for two or three minutes, you can add the minced meat that was fried previously. Stir-fry together over high heat for one minute, turn to medium heat, and add salt and soy sauce.

7. After the water comes out, turn down the heat.

8. Cook over low heat, cover the pot and simmer for about one or two minutes. This depends on personal preference. I think it tastes better and more flavorful if the noodles are steamed. If you don’t like it too well-done, there’s no need to simmer it, just serve it directly out of the pan!

9. That’s it! It comes out like this, the fabric is well hydrated.

10. Keep bubbling in the water while cooking the noodles, otherwise the noodles will not taste good. As for how long to cook it, it depends on the individual. You can taste it when you think it’s about done.
