9. Add some dark soy sauce, cooking wine and salt, and stir-fry evenly.

10. Pour in hot water to cover the beef, bring to a boil over high heat, and simmer over low heat for 1 hour.

11. While the meat is stewing, you can prepare carrots and potatoes.

12. Add carrots and potatoes and simmer for another 20-30 minutes.
