How to make red bean and corn flour steamed cake

1.1 Add yeast and sugar and mix well

3. Add warm water (about 30 degrees, too hot will kill the yeast) and mix well until there are no lumps, then add red beans (leave a little for decoration) and stir into a thick paste that is almost non-flowing

4. Apply a layer of oil to the inside of the steaming mold, pour the batter into half of the mold, cover it and put it in a warm place to ferment until it is twice as large. I accidentally deleted the original picture when I was organizing the camera.

5. Sprinkle red beans on the surface of the batter and put it into the steamer. Steam it on medium heat for 30 minutes, then turn off the heat and simmer for five minutes before uncovering the pot.

6. Take out the mold and turn it upside down on the panel. When it is not hot, demould and cut into small pieces. If the mold is a little sticky and cannot be turned upside down, you can use a knife to scratch the four sides of the mold to make it easier to demould. I use a Lock & Lock glass box, a small aluminum lunch box, or a small stainless steel pot. If the cake is thicker, you can steam it for a little longer.

Although there are many steps to make red bean and cornmeal steamed cake, it is not difficult at all as long as you master them carefully. Of course, cooking also depends on talent, and if you are gifted, you will definitely be able to cook the best in no time. Of course, if you want to achieve perfection, you need to practice more.
