How to make sugar water

The method of making sugar water is quite simple. It does not take too long. You can add some of your favorite foods according to your preferences. Such a combination can make the taste of the sugar water less monotonous and more colorful. For example, sweet potato sugar water is a relatively famous sugar water. After drinking it, it can achieve the effect of moisturizing the intestines and promoting bowel movements.

1: Kelp and mung beans. Function: Cools and relieves heat, detoxifies and promotes diuresis, cures cough, and can reduce skin viruses (such as acne). This should be the most common dessert in Huazhou. Not only is it available in dessert shops, but every household also often makes it in the hot summer. However, when cooking, remember to soak the mung beans for 1-2 hours, then cook the mung beans first, and then add the kelp when they are almost cooked. It is also best to add rock sugar instead of brown sugar, because rock sugar will not cause internal heat so easily.

2: Sweet potato soup. Efficacy: It can promote bowel movements, prevent emphysema, fight diabetes, and is good for the heart. If you have constipation and don’t want to eat bland sweet potatoes, then making some sweet potato soup is the best choice. In addition, sweet potato soup is also a good choice as a post-meal dessert.

3: Guiling jelly. Efficacy: It is mild in nature, neither cold nor dry, suitable for all ages. It has the effects of clearing away heat and dampness, promoting blood circulation and promoting tissue regeneration, relieving itching, removing acne, moistening the intestines and relieving constipation, nourishing yin and tonifying the kidney, and nourishing the skin and refreshing the mind. This is also a must-have sweet soup in our Huazhou. It is most suitable to eat Guilinggao in summer. It is worth mentioning that Huazhou also has a kind of homemade sugar water for removing heat and detoxification: commonly known as "Liangcao", which is similar to the jelly on the market, but the raw materials used to make it are different. Our "Liangcao" is made from a plant that has been artificially de-slaged, added with sweet potato starch and water, and then boiled. Generally, after it is cooked, it will be left to cool naturally, and then boiled with rock sugar water and eaten with it.

Other common dishes include: lotus seed and lily soup, Qingbuliang, eight-treasure porridge, snow fungus, lotus seed and wolfberry soup, ice flower and water chestnut soup, snow fungus and egg syrup, double skin milk, papaya stewed with snow fungus, taro sago, coconut milk sago, etc.
