Main ingredient: 200g glutinous rice.

Auxiliary ingredients: appropriate amount of oil, sugar, sesame and hawthorn.

1.First, prepare a plate of white sesame seeds.

2. Steam the pumpkin in a pot and add it to the glutinous rice while it is still hot, then mix it together.

3. Keep stirring until the dough is formed.

4. Take out a small piece and roll it into a small ball.

5. Slowly pinch it into a small round shape.

6. Put hawthorn filling inside.

7. Slowly pinch the seal to seal all the fillings.

8. Then roll it into a ball.

9. Put it in water to stick the sesame seeds on.

10. Place the dough in a sesame plate and roll it around to form a sesame ball.

11. You can roll out all the dumplings at once and place them on a plate.

12. Heat up a pan with oil. Make sure the oil is cool and not too hot, otherwise the sesame seeds will get burnt.

13. Put two in to test whether the oil is hot or not. It is OK if bubbles can form.

14. When the oil is about 60% to 70% hot, add all the glutinous rice balls.

15. Be careful not to keep the oil too hot during the cooking process. You can adjust the temperature to keep warm after the oil is hot. Turn the glutinous rice balls over during the cooking process so that they are cooked evenly on all sides.

16. Remove from the heat and drain the oil.

Health Tips

Since glutinous rice balls are a high-calorie sweet food, they are not suitable for dinner. Middle-aged and elderly people or obese people should not eat them often. Diabetic patients should avoid eating them.
