How to make brown sugar and jujube steamed buns

Home-cooked meals are meant to give people the taste of home. Brown sugar and jujube steamed buns are a dish that is full of the flavor of home. The method is simple but not perfunctory. 1. Prepare the flour, dissolve the yeast in warm water and pour it into the flour.

2. Mash the golden dates (the bagged golden dates bought in the supermarket can also be replaced with date paste or dried dates) into a paste, and dissolve the brown sugar with appropriate amount of warm water. (Generally, about 250ml of warm water is enough)

3. Pour the brown sugar water and mashed date paste into the flour and mix well. Start kneading the dough. After the dough is kneaded, cover it with plastic wrap and place it in a higher temperature place to rise for a while (the higher the temperature, the faster it will rise).

4. When the dough has doubled in size and small pores begin to appear on the surface, take out the dough, dissolve a small amount of baking soda in warm water, and knead it evenly into the dough.

5. After kneading the dough, roll it into long strips, and then pinch it into steamed buns. You can also cut it with a knife (I forgot to take a picture), and finally place the steamed buns on the panel for five or six minutes.

6. Add cold water into the steamer, then put the steamed buns that have been placed for five or six minutes on the steaming rack. Bring to a boil over high heat and then switch to medium heat and steam for thirty minutes. Turn off the heat after thirty minutes, simmer the steamed buns in the pot for five or six minutes, and then you can take them out. (Do not open the lid during this period, as it will affect the taste)

7. The soft steamed buns are out of the pot

The dish of brown sugar and jujube steamed buns can be modified according to your own taste, and the role of seasoning can be played to enhance the flavor. Pay attention to adjusting the amount of soy sauce, chopped green onions, and minced garlic.
