There is a certain difference in the taste of fresh peppers and dried peppers. However, the most obvious advantage of dried peppers is that they are easy to preserve and there is no need to worry about them going bad. So, how can fresh peppers be dried? 1. How to dry fresh peppers?

The most important thing to make the peppers dry quickly is ventilation and sufficient sunlight, so that they can dry quickly and maintain their freshness.

(1) In summer and autumn, buy fresh chili peppers, wipe off any dirt and water spots on the peppers with a towel, and then string the peppers together with cotton thread. (Note that the peppers should be strung together sparsely so that they can be well ventilated and dry easily. Do not string the peppers too densely on a string, as the peppers will stick together and not dry easily, and they will easily deteriorate (rot, stink)) After the peppers are dried, you can grind them into powder or make them into slices according to your needs. When drying, hang it in a place where it will not be exposed to rain but can get sunlight every day, such as a balcony.

(2) Generally, peppers are picked and dried only when they turn red naturally. Usually it is spread flat on dry ground or on the net, newspaper, etc. and exposed directly to the sun. During exposure to the sun, it is necessary to turn it over frequently to ensure even heating. Because green peppers contain more water than red peppers, they are not suitable for drying into dried peppers. They can be pickled and eaten.

There are different types of chili peppers, such as dried chili peppers, fresh chili peppers, and pickled chili peppers. It is better to eat fresh chili peppers. Because fresh peppers not only provide seasoning, but are also richer in nutrients.

In addition, peppers are best eaten cooked. Because raw peppers contain a large amount of capsaicin, they may irritate the oral and gastrointestinal mucosa. After heating, the amount of capsaicin can be reduced and the irritation to the gastrointestinal tract will also be reduced.

3. Who should not eat chili peppers?

Although chili peppers are delicious, not everyone can enjoy them. People with cold hands and feet and prone to anemia can eat more.

However, because chili peppers can cause certain stimulation to the gastrointestinal mucosa, oral cavity, etc., eating too much chili peppers may cause gastrointestinal inflammation, oral ulcers, pharyngitis, etc. Therefore, patients with gastric ulcer, esophagitis, hemorrhoids, etc. should not eat too much.

People with yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire, frequent constipation and acne should also eat it with caution.
