Make your own Platycodon pickles, they taste just as good as the ones you buy! The important thing is that you can adjust the flavor you want. Prepare the platycodon for use.

First remove the skin of the Platycodon grandiflorum and rinse it. You can scrape off the skin like you would peel potatoes using a hard, thin tool.

Next, cut off the root with the black spot on one end of the Platycodon grandiflorum and cut it into long strips or pat it and tear it into long strips.

Put the Platycodon grandiflorum strips in a larger basin and soak them in clean water for a day. I added some salt to the water.

Take out the soaked Platycodon grandiflorum strips, drain the water, and then you can start making pickles.

Add appropriate amount of chili powder, salt, chicken essence, sugar and rice vinegar to the platycodon strips.

Mix the platycodon and seasonings evenly. As shown in the picture. If you like sesame seeds, you can add some at this stage and mix well.

Finally, put the prepared pickles on a plate and serve!
