1. Slice the braised beef and place on a plate, add green onion and ginger;

2. Put 2 spoons of soy sauce, 1 spoon of Shaoxing wine, 1 spoon of sugar, 5-6 spoons of water into a bowl, stir well, and pour on the beef;

3. Cover the beef with plastic wrap and steam it for 15 minutes. Skim off the scallion and ginger, pour the juice left in the plate after steaming the beef into the wok. Bring to a boil over high heat, then pour in the starch sauce. When it thickens, turn off the heat, pour it on the beef, sprinkle with chopped scallions, and start eating.

Tips

1. Isn’t it simple? I’m a lazy guy, so I always use the simplest method to cook.

2. If you have raw beef at home, just use the braising method and stew the beef until cooked.

3. If there is broth, of course it will be more fragrant if you put some broth in the bowl than water. I never use chicken essence or MSG when cooking. Natural taste is the best.

4. You can keep some good brand cooked food at home, of course, vacuum-packed ones are best. I always keep pig ears, pork livers and beef from Tianfuhao, which is much more convenient.

5. The sauce should be thinner and don’t put too much cornstarch, otherwise it will become mushy.

6. The braised beef already has salt, and light soy sauce is added here. Since we advocate eating it lightly, we don’t add salt. Just adjust according to your own taste.

7. When making this, don’t use meat that’s too lean. My family likes it fatter and with more tendons.
