How to make authentic Chaoshan beef ball soup

Do your children like the food you cook? I believe many people would not dare to nod. If children don’t like the food prepared at home, it is easy for them to develop picky eating and anorexia, which will greatly affect their physical and mental development. So, for the health of your children, you should learn from me how to make authentic Chaoshan beef ball soup.

1. Prepare the necessary ingredients: authentic beef balls/tendon balls, lettuce, celery, garlic oil, fish sauce, pepper, sesame oil, cooking oil, refined salt, chicken essence/MSG.

2.1 While cooking, wash the lettuce and break the leaves into two pieces if they are too big; cut the celery into pieces and set aside.

3.2 Put the beef balls and beef tendon balls into a pot of boiling water and cook.

4.12 Put some ingredients into a bowl: appropriate amount of salt, chicken essence/MSG, cooking oil, fish sauce, and parsley.

5.21 When the soup for cooking beef balls boils, use a spoon to add an appropriate amount of soup into the bowl and stir the soup ingredients evenly.

6. When you see the beef balls floating on the water, it means they are cooked.

7. Use a colander to scoop out the beef balls and put them into the prepared soup bowl.

8. Add a little salt to the soup pot where the beef balls were cooked and put the lettuce in.

9. Take out the lettuce after blanching it for a while, but not too long, put it into the beef ball soup bowl, sprinkle with pepper and garlic oil, stir and you can start eating.

10. You may not know what this picture is for? Next, I will continue to tell you how Chaoshan people eat chili sauce and shacha sauce. Do you see this small plate? This is a small plate that every Chaoshan family has. Some are even smaller than this one. It is used to hold shacha sauce or chili sauce. Chaoshan people generally don’t eat spicy food, but if they want to eat something spicy, hehe~ So they can only use this small plate to decorate it. When eating, pick up the beef balls or beef tendon balls and dip them in shacha sauce or chili sauce. Don’t put them directly in the soup like some places that like to eat chili.

11. In fact, why do Chaoshan people eat it this way? The reason is that firstly, dipping it in chili sauce or shacha sauce is not only delicious but also can satisfy your craving, and you can also drink the light, fresh and sweet beef ball soup, isn’t it the best of both worlds? !

Seeing this, don’t be scared by the method of making authentic Chaoshan beef ball soup introduced above. Although the process is a bit longer, it is very coherent when actually done. So just do it while it is still fresh in your memory.
