How to pickle lettuce

Lettuce has a crisp and tender taste when eaten, and has a relatively fragrant smell. Many times people cook lettuce by stir-frying, stewing, or mixing it cold. In fact, lettuce is also very suitable for pickling. When some seasoning is added, the pickled lettuce not only tastes better, but also has a richer flavor. It is especially suitable to eat a little at breakfast as a side dish, which will help promote appetite.

Method 1 Ingredients: lettuce, red pepper, garlic, salt, light soy sauce Production steps: Peel the lettuce, wash it, cut it into thick sections, add appropriate amount of salt to marinate. The amount of salt should be slightly more than that used in normal cooking, but it should not be too salty. After marinating for half an hour, pour out the water and dry in the sun for about 2 days until it is 70% dry. After drying, prepare a clean, water-free and oil-free glass bottle. The first pickling method: Put the lettuce in a glass bottle, add light soy sauce to cover the lettuce, and soak it for three days at the earliest. If you don’t have a glass bottle, you can soak a small amount of marinated food in a bowl and then cover it with plastic wrap. Be careful not to make the lettuce too salty when pickling, because light soy sauce is also a bit salty. The second pickling method: Wash a red pepper, drain the water and dice it. Peel and chop the garlic cloves. Put them into a glass bottle together with the lettuce and seal it. It can be eaten after 3 days at the earliest. You can add some sesame oil and chili oil to make it more delicious.

Method 2 Ingredients: lettuce, cucumber, chopped pepper, salt Production steps:

Wash the cucumber, cut into diamond shape, add two teaspoons of salt, marinate to remove moisture, stir, marinate for 5 minutes, rinse with water after 5 minutes to remove the saltiness, put on the balcony, drain the moisture for about 30 minutes, depending on the weather. After draining the water, add 5 teaspoons of chopped chili, stir evenly, add a little MSG, stir evenly, bottle, and marinate for 2 to 3 days.

Method 3 Ingredients: lettuce, garlic, dried chili peppers, soy sauce, salt Production steps: remove the leaves and peel the lettuce, wash it, cut the lettuce into sections (PS: don't cut it too small), add two spoons of salt, mix it evenly, and marinate it with salt for at least one night to marinate the water out of the lettuce, drain it, and then cut it into small pieces. Prepare seven or eight garlics and chili peppers, chop the garlic into small pieces, cut the chili peppers into small pieces, take out the prepared glass bottle, add a layer of garlic, a layer of chili peppers, and a layer of lettuce until the entire bottle is covered. Add soy sauce to the bottle until all the ingredients are covered. After two or three days, you can start eating it.
