How to make mulberry rose steamed buns

1. Add a small amount of sugar to the flour, rinse the mulberries with running water, and then soak them in light salt water for 5 minutes.

2. Use a spoon to squeeze out the mulberry juice and discard the residue.

3. Add appropriate amount of warm boiled water to about 35 degrees, add yeast, mix well, and let it sit for 3 minutes.

4. Add yeast water to flour little by little and knead into dough.

5. Cover with plastic wrap and let ferment until it is 2-2.5 times larger.

6. Knead the risen dough back to its original size. Knead it a little longer for a better texture.

7. Divide the dough into several equal portions.

8. Take one portion and cut it into five equal portions and one smaller portion.

9. Roll the smaller portion into a spindle shape with small ends and a large middle to serve as the center of the flower. Cut the other five into skins of equal size with slightly thinner edges. Fold up as shown.

10. Roll up from the end with the flower center.

11.Roll them all up.

12. Use both hands to pinch it in the middle into the shape shown in the picture.

13. Then twist it off in the middle.

14. Place the cut surface downwards to form two roses.

15. Put cold water in the pot, cover the steamer with a wet cloth or apply a layer of oil, put the embryos in, cover with a lid and ferment for the second time until the embryos become larger and lighter.

16. Steam over medium heat and continue steaming for about 10 minutes after the water boils. The specific steaming time depends on the size of the embryo. After turning off the heat, simmer for another 3 minutes before opening the lid. Never open the lid during the process.
