How to make fried dough sticks

Fried dough sticks are breakfast for many people, but we cannot make them directly at home. We can only buy them outside. Some people do not have much time and choose to fry them at home. In fact, the method of frying dough sticks is very simple. After we master the method, we can make dough sticks quickly. It is the best choice for breakfast. Moreover, the dough sticks made by ourselves can be eaten conveniently and hygienically. So, what are the methods of making fried dough sticks at home?

1. Main ingredients

750g high flour, 1000g vegetable oil, 1 egg, 5g high active yeast, 3-5g aluminum-free dough leavening agent, 2-3g salt

2. Production steps

1 The night before, sift the flour, add salt and aluminum-free leavening agent, mix, beat in eggs, add 10-15 grams of vegetable oil, mix the yeast with warm water (a small bowl, hand temperature), let it stand for a while, pour it into the flour several times, and use chopsticks to stir it into a dough (as long as it can be stirred into a dough). Knead the dough with your hands. You can use the folding method to make it stretchy. If the dough is a little sticky, add a small amount of dry flour and knead it until the dough no longer sticks to your hands. Spread vegetable oil on both sides of the kneaded dough, put it in a container, cover it with plastic wrap and let it ferment until the next morning.

2 Brush the panel with oil, apply a little oil on your hands, take out the dough and knead it gently on the panel to expel the air in the dough. Use your hands to stretch the dough towards both ends, and then press it into a thin, flat rectangular sheet with your palms.

3 Apply a little oil to the scraper and cut the dough.

4 Stack two adjacent ones, and then press hard in the middle with oiled chopsticks.

5 After leaving it for a while, stretch it to make the raw dough for fried dough sticks.

6 The dough for making fried dough sticks can also be used to make fried cakes. Using only your hands, press the dough firmly into a thin round shape, scoring the center a few times with a scraper.

7. Add enough vegetable oil into the pot and heat over medium-high heat to 180-190 degrees (your hand will feel toasty when you put it on top of the pot).

8 Twist the dough sticks slightly and put them into the oil pan one by one. Use chopsticks to press down the dough sticks appropriately.

9 The fried dough sticks are quickly fried in the oil pan. After one side is fried until golden brown, turn it over and fry the other side until golden brown as well. Then drain the oil and remove from the pan.

10 Fry the other side.

11 Ready to serve.
