How long does it take to steam clams?

I believe that razor clams are an ingredient that most people rarely eat in their daily lives, mainly because the processing of this ingredient is rather troublesome and it is relatively rare in normal times. However, razor clams have high nutritional value and can supplement a lot of trace elements, so we can learn how to cook razor clams. Generally, razor clams can be steamed. It only takes about 7 minutes to steam razor clams, but you need to add other ingredients and steam them together.

1. Materials

400g razor clams (with shells), ginger, onion, garlic, red pepper, cooking wine, steamed fish sauce, oil

2. Method

⑴ Buy fresh clams and put them in clean water, add a few drops of sesame oil, let them spit out the mud and sand, and steam the clams.

⑵ Remove the mud and sand from the clams and scrub them repeatedly, clean the shells and drain them for later use

⑶ Cut ginger and red pepper into long strips, cut green onion into sections, cut green onion leaves into flowers, and smash garlic and cut into minced pieces

⑷Put an appropriate amount of shredded ginger and green onion segments on the bottom of the plate, then put the cleaned clams on top, and then put the remaining shredded ginger and green onion segments on top of the clams.

⑸ Add a little cooking wine and steam over high heat for about five minutes

⑹After steaming, use chopsticks to pick out the soft scallions and ginger, then pour steamed fish soy sauce on it.

⑺Add shredded red pepper, minced garlic, chopped green onion, and drizzle with spicy oil.

2. Steamed razor clams with minced garlic

1. Main ingredients

300g razor clams

2. Seasoning

10g garlic, 10g green onion, 10g ginger, 15g peanut oil, appropriate amount

3. Method

⑴Cut the live clams in the middle;

⑵Wash away the mud and sand in the clam meat;

⑶Put the clams on a plate, spread the minced garlic evenly, steam them in a steamer for eight minutes, sprinkle with shredded green onion and ginger, pour hot oil, and pour the blanched sauce on the bottom of the plate.

3. Steamed clams with ginger and garlic

1. Materials

One pound of razor clams, about 10 grams of ginger, one head of garlic

2. Seasoning

Vegetable oil, seafood soy sauce, cooking wine

3. Method

⑴ Process the clams properly, remove the black lines on the gizzard, etc. Sorry, I forgot to take a picture. Chop the ginger and garlic, and pour in the oil that has been simmered in the ginger and garlic.

⑵Put it in the microwave on high heat for about 2 minutes, and cook until the ginger and garlic are slightly yellow and fragrant. You can also heat the oil in a pan and slowly stir-fry the ginger and garlic. This is not a lazy and simple way to do it, it's as simple as it gets!

⑶ Pour a little cooking wine on the processed clams to remove the fishy smell, but not too much.

⑷Spread the ginger and garlic oil on the processed clams. If you like a spicier taste, you can cut some small red pepper rings and put them on top.

5. Boil the water and steam for 5 minutes. Seafood is easy to cook, but it cannot be steamed for too long. If it is too long, it will be overcooked and will not taste good!

⑹Pour a little seafood soy sauce on top of the pan and serve! Eat while hot!

4. Steamed razor clams with vermicelli and lily bulb

1. Main ingredients

300g razor clams, 50g vermicelli, 250g enoki mushrooms

2. Accessories

Oil, garlic, red pepper, green pepper, steamed fish soy sauce

3. Production steps

⑴ Put the clams you bought home in salt water for a few hours and wait for them to spit out all the mud and sand before cooking.

⑵ Remove the roots of the enoki mushrooms and wash them

⑶ Soak the vermicelli in clean water until soft

⑷ Cut the vermicelli slightly shorter and place it on the bottom of the plate, then tear the enoki mushrooms and place them on top

⑸ Clean the shells of the razor clams and place them on the enoki mushrooms

⑹ Steam in a pot, steam for 5 minutes on high heat after the water boils

⑺Prepare garlic and chili when steaming clams

⑻Cut the pepper into small circles and chop the garlic

⑼ The steamed clams will release a lot of soup, which is just right to add freshness to the vermicelli and enoki mushrooms. Don’t pour it away.

⑽ Pour appropriate amount of steamed fish soy sauce on top

⑾. Heat the oil in a pan, turn off the heat, add the chili and minced garlic

⑿ Pour the oil, minced garlic and chili on the clams while they are still hot.
