How to make matcha pudding

Urbanites commute twice a day, and their destinations are always office buildings and apartments. They have no time to cook, but after getting used to fast food, they will miss home-cooked meals. Matcha pudding is quick and easy to make. It can be cooked in just over ten minutes. You only need to steam it, and there is no need to worry about the harm of oil fumes.

1. Soak the gelatin sheets in ice water to soften.

2. Mix the milk and cream, add white sugar, heat and stir until the sugar is dissolved.

3. Sieve the matcha powder and add one or two spoons of hot water to soak the matcha powder. It is best to use a Japanese tea whisk to stir it quickly.

4. Pour the milk liquid in step 2 into the tea liquid in step 3, stirring while pouring.

5. Continue to heat the matcha milk in step 5 over water.

6. After turning off the heat, put the softened gelatin into the milk pot and dissolve and mix well.

7. Prepare an ice water container in advance, sieve the tea-making milk liquid in step 6 into the container, and cool it down with ice water.

8. When the solution is warm and no longer hot to the touch, pour it into the prepared pudding bowl. Continue to place the pudding bowl in ice water until it is completely cooled, then refrigerate for four hours.

9. You can enjoy it without removing it from the mold! If you need to demould, turn the pudding bowl upside down on a plate and cover the bowl with a hot towel for a bit or blow around the mold with a hair dryer. Then hold the bowl and plate with both hands and shake them gently a few times. Be gentle as the pudding is very delicate.

10. It tastes better with sweetened red beans, but it is not available at the moment. Learn how to arrange the dish in Western style and add some diced fruit. Enjoy it!
