How to cook saury and cabbage

The method of cooking knife fish and cabbage is simple and can also improve the body's disease resistance to a certain extent.

1. Prepare 2 knife fish, remove the head, tail and black film from the intestines, rinse them clean and cut them into appropriate pieces with scissors, drain the water and set aside.

2. Prepare 6 pieces of cabbage, wash them and drain the water for later use.

3. Take a piece of cabbage and cut it into appropriate sections with a blade.

4. After all the cabbages are sliced, put them in a bowl and set aside.

5. Prepare an appropriate amount of pepper and star anise, cut the green onion into sections, slice the ginger, and cut the garlic into pieces, as shown in the picture.

6. Pour oil into a cold pan. When the oil is 80% hot, put in the knife fish slices and fry. After one side is fried, turn it over and fry the other side.

7. Fry all the knife fish in turn, as shown in the picture.

8. Leave an appropriate amount of oil in the pot and pour out the excess oil. Spread the cabbage evenly on the bottom of the pot, place the knife fish on top, and add the onion, ginger, garlic, pepper and star anise.

9. Add appropriate amounts of soy sauce, sugar, salt, a little cooking wine and white vinegar in turn.

10. Add appropriate amount of water (don’t add too much, the cabbage will release water when stewed), bring to a boil over high heat and then simmer over medium heat until the cabbage is fully cooked. (I don’t eat MSG so I didn’t put it in. If you like it, sprinkle some before serving)

11. Remove from the pan and serve.
