How to make pumpkin sesame cake

Only when we eat healthily can our bodies be truly healthy. If we eat out for a long time because we are afraid of the trouble and don’t want to cook for ourselves, and end up damaging our health, it is not worth it. The method of making pumpkin sesame steamed cake is relatively simple and not troublesome, so don’t worry.

1. Prepare all materials. Put the sugar into the steamed pumpkin puree and melt it.

2. Then use chopsticks to add appropriate amount of warm water to the pumpkin puree, yeast, flour and stir until it becomes floc-like.

3. Then knead it into a smooth dough with your hands, put it in a steamer filled with warm water at about 38°C, and ferment it for about 40 minutes.

4. After kneading for 15 minutes to break the large bubbles in the dough, add cooked sesame seeds and continue kneading for 5 minutes.

5. When the dough has risen to twice its size, open the lid and take it out to knead.

6. Use a rolling pin to roll the kneaded dough into a size similar to the cake mold. (In order to make it easier to demould after steaming, you can put a piece of wax paper under the cake mold.)

7. Next, place the dough in the mold back into a steamer filled with warm water and continue to rise for about 35 minutes. When it has fermented to twice its size, you can start steaming it.

8. Steam over high heat until steam starts to form, then change to medium heat for 18 minutes. After steaming, turn off the heat and simmer for another five minutes before removing from the pot and letting it air dry for 2 minutes before removing from the mold.

9. Remove from the pan and demould, and you can start eating the delicious pumpkin sesame steamed cake.
