Microwave Rice

Microwave Rice

The microwave oven is a kitchen appliance that brings convenience to people. To a certain extent, it can save people’s time in cooking in the kitchen. For example, using a microwave oven to simply heat up some rice or vegetables, or to make baked food can save a lot of effort. Many people have not tried to cook rice in a microwave. In fact, cooking rice in a microwave is not as simple as we think. Both the amount of water and the time are difficult to control.

Soak the rice in clean water for at least half an hour. Note: The 6 minutes mentioned here is counted from the time the rice is put into the microwave, and the time for soaking the rice is not included. If you want to eat it in the morning, soak the rice the night before; if you want to eat it when you get home from get off work in the evening, soak the rice before you go out in the morning; if you want to eat it in the office, just bring the rice and a microwave bowl.

After soaking, just rinse the rice and fill it with water. The amount of water is the same as when cooking rice in a normal rice cooker. If you like to eat rice with distinct grains, add less water. In addition: After adding water, the total amount should not exceed half a bowl to avoid water overflowing during brewing; you can choose to use a deeper container, such as a mug.

Put it in the microwave, put a plate on it or cover it loosely with a lid, and cook on high heat for 2 minutes; when the time is up, simmer for 2 minutes; then cook on high heat for another 2 minutes, done. Note: Just in case, you can put a plate at the bottom of the bowl. In case the water spills out, there is a plate to catch it and it will not dirty the microwave. If it is a container specially designed for microwave ovens, do not fasten the matching lid tightly, otherwise it will not be able to be opened and will be sucked tightly.

Take the bowl out of the microwave and the fragrant fresh rice is ready.

After the rice is out of the oven, turn it over and stir it well, because it will be a little moist and the moisture will be absorbed after a while. The rice cooked in this way has distinct grains, but it is definitely not half-cooked.
