How to make red yeast steamed buns

1. Prepare various raw materials.

2. Crush an appropriate amount of red yeast rice into the flour and add an appropriate amount of honey.

3. Dissolve the yeast in water at about 35 degrees and mix it into the flour. Then add warm water and knead it into a dough of moderate hardness.

4. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it ferment until it is 2-2.5 times larger.

5. Knead the risen dough back to its original size. Knead it a little longer for a better texture.

6. Pinch into small pieces.

7. Shape the dough and place it in a steamer lined with a damp cloth.

8. Cover the dough and ferment for the second time until the embryo becomes larger and lighter.

9. Put cold water in the pot and steam over medium heat. Steam for about 10 minutes after the water boils. The specific steaming time depends on the size of the embryo. After turning off the heat, simmer for another 3 minutes before opening the lid. Never open the lid during the process.
