Babies over ten months old have become very naughty. They can move on their own at this time. They will crawl to get the things they like. The growth and development of babies at this time is also very critical. So when adding complementary food to the baby, you must choose the kind that is suitable for the baby and has high nutritional value. So what kind of complementary food should be added to babies over ten months old?

The choice of complementary food for ten-month-old babies is very wide. Common baby foods, such as porridge, soft rice, and pasta, are all good choices for ten-month-old babies. 10-month-old babies generally have no resistance to complementary foods. You can also feed your baby some fruits and vegetables at ordinary times. In order to ensure that the baby's nutrition is balanced and sufficient, it is generally recommended that the baby's complementary food should be a combination of meat and vegetables. Meat, fish, liver paste, etc. can be added to the baby's complementary food at the appropriate time.

When your baby is 10 months old, you should pay attention to feeding him suitable food. Protein and iron should be added in appropriate amounts, and at least 3 kinds of vegetables should be included in each meal.

Protein: eggs, fish, chicken, pork liver, etc., gradually transition from minced food to small pieces.

Vegetables: carrots, choy sum, cabbage, tomatoes.

Cereals: porridge, soft rice, noodles, soy products, biscuits, steamed bread slices, cooked potatoes, and taro.

The baby's three meals a day are at 7:30 in the morning, 12:00 in the afternoon, and 17:00 in the evening. Fruits can be added to the baby's food two hours after the morning, afternoon and dinner. The baby can be fed with milk at 6:00 in the morning and 9:00 in the evening.

What can babies eat to enhance immunity?

Children's physical constitution is exactly that of "delicate internal organs, insufficient physical energy, and rapid growth". The internal organs are delicate, and the spleen and stomach's absorption and digestion functions have not yet been fully formed. There are two things we need to pay attention to when it comes to diet:

The first is to develop good eating habits. Today's parents don't have to worry about their children not eating enough or eating well enough. It is a misunderstanding to just let children eat more and better. Maintaining a healthy spleen and stomach is the key. We have a folk proverb that goes "If you want your child to be safe, keep him three parts hungry and cold." Don't feed your child too much. Give him (his spleen and stomach) enough time to digest the food and turn it into the substances he needs.

Second, do not consume foods that are too high in calories. For example, eating several pieces of ham at once will easily lead to indigestion, as this also includes some high-calorie hamburgers, chicken legs, etc.

In addition, some ingredients that can strengthen the spleen and stomach are recommended. You must eat more whole grains, such as rice, millet, corn, wheat, etc., and match them with some whole grain porridge and millet porridge to nourish the spleen and stomach.

As for other meats, it is recommended to eat some neutral meats, such as chicken and beef are good choices. I would like to recommend yam to all parents. Eating more yam (for adults and children) can strengthen the spleen and stomach, because yam is mild in nature and enters the lung, spleen and kidney meridians. People with long-term constipation should control their intake. Yam can be cooked into porridge, soup, or boiled in water and drunk as tea. There are also lotus seeds, which are also neutral in nature and enter the spleen, kidney and heart meridians, and are also a good ingredient. Here are a few dietary therapy recipes recommended, including yam, lotus seeds and pork bone soup, and barley malt and duck kidney soup. Barley malt is mainly used to remove food accumulation, while rice porridge with Poria cocos, red dates and stems is also a good dietary therapy recipe.
