How to pickle shredded pickled radish

Sour shredded radish is a special pickle in Sichuan, mainly because its taste is more suitable for the taste of people in that region. So if we like to eat sour shredded radish, we can learn about its pickling method. For the pickling method of sour shredded radish, we should choose fresh radish, then cut the radish into shreds, mix ingredients such as pepper, white vinegar and salt together, and seal them for storage.

1. How to pickle sour radish

Ingredients: white radish, pickled wild pepper, white vinegar, and salt.

Specific method:

1.1. Peel the white radish, wash it and cut it into small strips. The thickness can be determined by yourself. Don’t make it too thick, otherwise it will take longer to marinate.

1.2. Prepare a container (I personally feel that a glass jar is best, as it looks clean and is also convenient for observing the pickled radish), put the radish strips in it, and add 5-8 pickled peppers (depending on how spicy you want).

1.3. Add half a teaspoon of salt, then pour in the soaked wild pepper and vinegar in a ratio of 1:4 to submerge the radish strips.

1.4. Cover the lid and put it in the refrigerator. It will be ready in about 3-5 days.

2. How to eat pickled radish

2.1. The radish strips pickled in this way are very crisp and go well with rice. Friends who like a little sweetness can add some white sugar, the result will be very good.

2.2. Sour radish can also be used to cook things, such as stir-frying, cooking fish, and cooking frogs.

3. Other ways to eat white radish

3.1. Honey and white radish juice: 1 large white radish, 100 grams of honey.

Method: Wash the white radish, hollow out the center, add honey, put it in a large bowl, add water and steam for 20 minutes. Eat when cooked. Take twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, in appropriate amounts.

Efficacy: Mainly used for abdominal distension, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, cough, excessive sputum, etc. It is suitable for patients with acute asthma who have excessive and sticky sputum and difficulty in expectorating sputum.

3.2. White radish spicy soup: 1 white radish, 5 white peppercorns, 4 slices of ginger, 1 slice of tangerine peel.

Method: Add 500 ml of water to the above materials, boil for 30 minutes, remove the residue and keep the liquid, then add 250 ml of water and boil for 15 minutes. Shake well and put into two bowls respectively for later use. Drink 2 times a day, 1 bowl each time, once in the morning and once in the evening.

3.3. Mutton and radish soup: 400 grams of mutton (lean), 300 grams of white radish, 10 grams of coriander, 2 grams of soy sauce, 6 grams of rice wine, 3 grams of salt, 15 grams of salad oil, and 10 grams of green onion.

Method: Wash and slice the mutton, and soak it in soy sauce and Shaoxing wine. Wash, peel and slice the radish, and chop the coriander. Use oil to stir-fry the onion and lamb, add appropriate amount of water and radish, cook on medium heat for 40 minutes, and add coriander for seasoning.

Efficacy: This soup has the effect of appetizing and strengthening the spleen.
