How to make Mizu Shingen Cake

As the saying goes, food is the most important thing for people. Food plays an important role in everyone's life. The method of making Mizu Shingen Cake is simple and can also improve the body's resistance to disease to a certain extent.

1. Prepare the materials and molds.

2. Soak the salted cherry blossoms first. The water should not be too hot, the soaking time should not be too long or the color will fade, and the soaking time should not be too short. First, add hot water at about 45 degrees into the container, then put the cherry blossoms in one by one and soak them for 5 to 8 minutes. During this time, hold the flower stems and rinse the salt up and down like a mop to allow the petals to unfold. Then put it into a cup of cold water and rinse it several times. Put the cup of cold water aside for later use.

3. Put 8 grams of white jelly and 10 grams of sugar into a small pot and mix evenly. Press any lumps with a spoon.

4. Slowly pour hot water into the mixture in step 2 twice. Stir the hot water for the first time until the particles are completely dissolved, then pour the remaining hot water and stir evenly.

5. Heat the liquid in a small milk pot over low heat while stirring until it boils, then turn off the heat. Let sit for 2-3 minutes.

6. Add half of the liquid into the container first, put one or two cherry blossoms according to their size, put the flowers face down into the liquid, and press up and down to make the petals naturally stretch out.

7. Then fasten the other part of the mold and use a small funnel to inject the other half of the liquid from the small hole in the mold (as shown in the picture). You can also just fill it to 70% or 80% full, and the finished product will also be very beautiful. Be gentle when injecting the liquid to avoid changing the position and shape of the cherry blossoms inside, which will make them look ugly! After injection, let the mold stand at room temperature for one hour.

8. Make syrup: Add 30 grams of brown sugar to 20 grams of water, heat over low heat until the brown sugar is completely dissolved and starts to bubble, and turn off the heat when the texture starts to thicken. It thickens more as it cools.

9. After an hour, the Mizu Shingen Cake was easily demolded!

10. Arrange them beautifully. Eating Mizu Shingen Mochi is a kind of artistic conception.

11. You can drizzle syrup on it and serve it with soybean powder. This is the traditional way of eating it. You can also add other seasonings such as condensed milk.
