How to make fennel and pork buns

Fennel and diced pork buns are a healthy and green dish. Different from various street snacks, the ingredients required are all non-toxic and pollution-free green food, and they also have the function of enhancing people's immunity. This dish can be seasoned according to your taste. The combination of different flavors will give people different stimulations to the taste buds.

1. Remove the roots of spinach and wash it clean. Control the moisture.

2. Add water to the pot and bring to a boil. Add the spinach and blanch for 2 minutes. Remove from the pot when it changes color. Rinse with water, drain and set aside. Remove impurities from the dragon fruit peel, wash it clean and drain the water for later use.

3. Put the spinach into the juicer and add half a bowl of water to squeeze out the juice. Do the same with dragon fruit peel.

4. Prepare spinach juice, dragon fruit peel juice and yeast.

5. Put the yeast into the two juices respectively and stir them! Allow them to dissolve, then squeeze the two juices and mix them with the dough.

6. The dough needs to be kneaded and pressed several times until its surface is smooth, then you can cover it with a lid and let it rest for about an hour.

7. When the dough has risen to twice its initial size, you can start wrapping it.

8. Wash the pork and cut into cubes. Prepare 15 grams of soy sauce and 15 grams of cooking wine and pour them into the diced meat and marinate for 20 minutes.

9. Put 10 grams of peanut oil in the pot, heat the oil to 70%, add 10 grams of salt and stir-fry until fragrant, add the diced meat and stir-fry quickly until 70% cooked, turn off the heat and let cool.

10. Wash fennel, carrots and green onions.

11. Cut fennel into 1cm small pieces, mince ginger, mince green onion, chop carrots, stir-fry pork and put in a container for later use.

12. Wash the tofu foam, squeeze out the water with your hands and chop it into small pieces.

13. Use a large container, first put the soaked tofu at the bottom, then put the fried diced meat, pepper, thirteen-spice dumpling filling seasoning, chicken essence, 5 grams of salt, and 15 grams of peanut oil and stir! Finally add fennel and carrot and mix well!

14. Cut the two kinds of noodles into even-sized pieces according to personal preference, flatten them into round shapes, and roll them into round dough sheets. The fancy way is to roll one color of dough into a cylinder, press another into a thin wrap of equal length and align them, then cut into even-sized dough pieces. Press into round bun skin.

15. Put a piece of dough on your left hand, put the meat filling in the middle of the dough, bend your palm slightly downward, first pinch the dough with the index finger and thumb of your right hand, then use the index finger of your left hand to push the dough next to it to the position of the index finger of your right hand to form a pleat, release the index finger and thumb of your right hand, pinch the pleat and the dough together to form a pleat, and so on. After pinching the last pleat, pinch the edge tightly and twist it gently, and the bun is done.

16. If you don’t like the finished product to twist, you can shape it like this.

17. Cover the wrapped buns with plastic wrap and let them rest for 30 minutes to an hour! In winter, keep warm and cover with a thick towel. Not necessary in the hot summer.

18. When the buns feel light, they can be steamed. Pour cold water into the pot, put the steamer cloth in place, put the buns on, cover with lid, turn on the heat, steam for 15 minutes and then turn off the heat.

19. Wow! Each one is fragrant, fluffy and soft. Just take a bite of the fennel and diced meat buns, which are full of fresh fragrance and juicy juice and can be served!

20. If you don’t like the tedious process, just add yeast to warm water and knead the dough! Same steps as above.

21. The steamed buns are white and plump and delicious.
