How to make meat buns by yourself

A healthy diet and balanced nutrition are important guarantees for our body to stay healthy. Although eating in a restaurant is simple, it is difficult to ensure a healthy diet, so if you can, it is best to make it yourself. The method of making meat buns by yourself is actually very simple, and you can do it yourself as long as you are willing.

1. Dissolve the yeast with warm water. If you like sweet food, you can add some sugar.

2. Slowly pour the yeast water into the flour and stir it into a cotton-like state with chopsticks.

3. Knead the dough into a smooth dough and set it aside to ferment for 1 to 1.5 hours.

4. Make the filling for the buns while the dough is fermenting. Chop the pork belly into meat paste (I asked the chef to mince the meat for me when I bought it), add salt, peanut oil, light soy sauce, chopped carrots, mushrooms and green onions. Then stir well.

5. Cut the fermented dough into small pieces (reference: egg size)

6. Flatten the small dough and use a rolling pin to round it up (if you don't have a rolling pin, you can just use your hands to gently press it). When rolling, make sure the middle is thick and the edges are thin. Spread the rolled dough flat on your hand, put the prepared stuffing on it, then fold the dough, seal the edges and wrap it into buns.

7. Place the wrapped buns on the steamer, cover the pot and let it rest for 20 minutes before turning on the heat.

8. After the water in the pot boils, steam for another 15 minutes and then turn off the heat. Do not open the lid immediately, wait 2-3 minutes before opening the lid.

9. Enjoy it

Many children also like to eat homemade meat buns. The soft and fragrant feeling is very memorable, especially in winter. When you put some in the hot pot, the whole house will be filled with rich fragrance.
