3. Place the whole plate in a steamer and steam it over high heat for ten minutes, then switch to low heat and steam for about fifteen to twenty minutes.

4. After 20 to 30 minutes, open the lid of the pot and pour appropriate amount of aged vinegar, soy sauce, ginger juice, garlic juice, etc. on the crabs. Simmer for one minute and turn off the heat.

How to cook boiled crab

1. Put the cleaned crabs into a pot with clean water. The water in the pot should cover the crabs' heads.

2. Pour an appropriate amount of rice wine, ginger, etc. into clean water, cover the pot, turn on high heat and bring to a boil.

3. After the crabs in the pot turn red, turn down the heat, cover the pot, and simmer for about ten minutes.

4. After ten minutes, add appropriate amount of salt, aged vinegar, soy sauce, etc. to the pot. Remove from the pot after one minute and it is ready to eat.

What should you pay attention to when steaming crabs?

1. The steaming time should not be too long, as it will affect the taste of the crab, causing the meat to become old and no longer tender.

2. Before steaming crabs, you should check whether the crabs are dead or alive to avoid steaming them to death. Dead crabs are poisonous and cannot be eaten.

3. Before steaming crabs, soak them in white wine for a while or prick their stomachs with a needle to make them faint. This will prevent them from struggling during the heating process and causing their legs to fall off or their crab roe and paste to be lost.
