How to Make Sweet Potato Rice

Sweet potato rice method 1:

1. Peel the sweet potatoes and wash them clean, making sure no dirt or other substances remain, otherwise it will seriously affect the taste.

2. Cut the sweet potatoes into small pieces and set aside. Don't cut the pieces too big, as they will be difficult to cook.

3. Wash the rice (two full measuring cups) and add slightly more water than usual for cooking rice.

4. Put the cut sweet potato pieces into the rice naturally without putting them in deliberately.

5. Add a small spoonful of salt to the pot to make the rice more fragrant.

6. Put it in the rice cooker until cooked.

7. After the rice cooker automatically switches to a lower gear, simmer for a few minutes before serving.

Sweet potato rice method 2:

1. Clean the rice cooker and put in 250g of rice.

2. Wash the rice and add cold water. The water should be about 1cm higher than the rice.

3. Take two sweet potatoes and wash them.

4. After peeling, put it on a plate. Make sure the skin is peeled cleanly because the sweet potato skin tastes terrible and has no nutritional value.

5. Cut the washed sweet potatoes into thin slices and place them on a plate.

6. Place the sweet potato slices in the rice cooker.

7. Plug in the rice cooker and press the cooking switch.

8. After 20 minutes, the rice cooker will switch to the keep warm mode. After another 10 minutes, open the lid.

9. Mash the sweet potatoes with a spatula, then put them into a plate. The sweet potato rice is ready.
