How to make braised beef and potatoes

1.1 Wash the small potatoes without peeling them, and cut them in half (if they are large potatoes, cut them into 3cm pieces). Cut shallots into slices (if using onions, slice them as well). Peel and chop the garlic. Wash and remove the stems of the peppers, then cut into 5cm long segments

2.2 Cut the beef into 1.5cm pieces, mix well with salt, cooking wine, sweet noodle sauce, sugar, sesame oil and dry starch, and marinate for 20 minutes. Wash the peanuts and soak them in clean water for 20 minutes

3. Pour oil into a frying pan, heat over high heat until it is 70% hot, add potatoes, continue to fry over high heat until golden brown, then turn over and fry the other side. After frying, use a spatula to move the potatoes to one side and use the oil in the pan to fry the garlic, shallots and coriander roots.

4. Pour in the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2 minutes, then pour into another pot without adding any more oil (if the frying pan is large, there is no need to change the pot). Pour boiling water, add soaked peanuts, cover with lid and heat over high heat until boiling, then turn to medium-low heat and simmer for 45 minutes

5. Before serving, add the peppers, stir evenly and turn off the heat. No need to continue heating. The residual temperature of the dish can just heat the peppers and keep their color unchanged.

Although there are many steps to make braised beef and potatoes with soy sauce, it is not difficult at all as long as you master them carefully. Of course, cooking also depends on talent, and if you are gifted, you will definitely be able to cook the best in no time. Of course, if you want to achieve perfection, you need to practice more.
