Preparation method: Fry the peach meat and mash it, cook it into porridge with other ingredients, and add a little rock sugar.

Efficacy: It can replenish qi and blood, calm the mind and soothe the nerves. Suitable for insomnia caused by deficiency of both heart, spleen and blood.

02. Jujube kernel porridge

Ingredients: 30 grams of sour jujube kernels, 100 grams of polished rice.

Method: Squeeze the juice from the Chinese jujube kernels, cook it into porridge with rice, and take it before going to bed.

Efficacy: It can nourish the heart and soothe the mind, and is used for fatigue, restlessness and insomnia.

03. Ganmai Dazao Congee (Golden Chamber Essentials)

Ingredients: 50 grams each of wheat and japonica rice, 10 dates, and 10 grams of licorice.

Method: First boil the licorice, remove the residue and take the juice, cook it into porridge with wheat, rice and jujube, and take it on an empty stomach.

Efficacy: It can replenish qi and blood, calm the mind and soothe the nerves. It is used for women with restlessness and irritability, with symptoms such as insomnia, night sweats, mental confusion, constant sadness, short and dark urine, red tongue with little coating, and thin and rapid pulse.

04. Pinellia tuber and sorghum rice soup (Huangdi Neijing)

Ingredients: 15 grams each of Pinellia and Sorghum.

Method: Boil the juice in water and drink it warm before going to bed.

Efficacy: Suitable for people who suffer from insomnia due to gastrointestinal stagnation but stomach disharmony.

05. Coptis chinensis, donkey-hide gelatin and chicken egg yellow soup

Ingredients: 3 grams of coptis root, 10 grams each of donkey-hide gelatin, peony, fried jujube kernel, tangerine peel, 1 egg yolk, 10 grams each of dragon bone and oyster.

Method: Decoction in water.

Efficacy: Suitable for insomnia caused by heart and kidney yin deficiency.

06. Wheat, black bean and Polygonum multiflorum soup

Ingredients: 45 grams of wheat, 30 grams of black beans, and 15 grams of Polygonum multiflorum.

Method: Add water and boil, then drink.

Efficacy: Nourishes the heart and kidneys, calms the mind and soothes the nerves. Used for insomnia caused by disharmony between heart and kidney.

07. Wheat Rice (Taiping Shenghui Fang)

Ingredients: 500 grams of wheat.

Method: Cook as usual.

Efficacy: It can nourish the heart and calm the mind, eliminate heat and quench thirst. Used for insomnia, irritability, dry mouth, etc. caused by yin deficiency.
