How to make patterned cake roll

1. Separate the egg yolk and egg white and place them in water-free and oil-free containers.

2. Add white sugar to the egg yolks and stir until the sugar melts.

3. Add water and stir well.

4. Add oil and continue to stir evenly.

5. Sift in low-gluten flour.

6. Stir evenly and the yellow batter is ready. Set aside.

7. Add lemon juice to the egg white.

8. Use an electric whisk to beat the egg whites into coarse foam at low speed and add 1/3 of white sugar.

9. Continue beating the egg whites at medium speed until beer crumbs appear, then add 1/3 of white sugar.

10. Beat until the foam becomes fine and has a slight texture, then add the remaining white sugar.

11. Beat until it reaches a wet foam state and the whisk has a large curved hook when lifted.

12. Add 1/3 of the egg white paste to the egg yolk paste and stir evenly.

13. Continue to add 1/3 egg whites and stir.

14. Add the next amount of egg white paste only after stirring evenly each time, and continue stirring until the mixture is complete after three additions.

15. Take a large spoonful of batter and put it in a small bowl and add cocoa powder.

16. Stir the batter evenly.

17. Pour the batter into the baking pan, smooth it out, and shake it a few times to remove the bubbles.

18. Put the cocoa powder batter into a piping bag and cut a small hole in it.

19. Spread the dough evenly at intervals. The key is to do it in one go.

20. Use the toothpick to draw straight lines in the same direction and at even intervals. The movement should be continuous and not too deep. The tip of the toothpick should be immersed in the batter. After each line, wipe the toothpick dry with a paper towel before drawing the next line.

21. Until it is completely filled. Bake in the middle layer of the oven at 165 degrees for 20 minutes, and turn on the hot air circulation for the last 5 minutes (please adjust the temperature and time according to your own oven).

22. Take it out immediately when the time is up and let it cool for about 2 minutes.

23. Cover it with a new piece of wax paper and then turn it upside down.

24. Cut off the edges of the cake and spread it with strawberry jam.

25. Roll up the cake.

26. Use a serrated knife to cut into pieces. The thickness of the pieces depends on your personal preference.

27. Beautiful.
