Homemade Apple Jam

Homemade Apple Jam

When you have time, you can make jam with apples. The nutritional value of apple jam is quite good. It not only promotes digestion, but also prevents constipation and diarrhea. Homemade jam is also relatively simple. Just prepare appropriate amounts of apples, sugar and maltose, and you can make it. To increase the flavor, you can prepare a lemon. During the cooking process, the heat must be low and you must stir constantly.

Homemade Apple Jam

Ingredients: 800g apples, 100g water, 150g granulated sugar, 150g maltose, 1 lemon.

step

1. Wash the apples, peel and core them, and cut them into small pieces.

2. Put it into a blender and add water to make it into a paste.

3. Put the applesauce into an acid-resistant pot, add sugar and cook until dissolved.

4. Cook over low heat while stirring to allow the water to evaporate.

5. Add maltose and continue cooking.

6. Finally, add lemon juice.

7. Cook until the sauce thickens.

8. Immediately put it into a sealable glass bottle and turn it upside down to cool.

Tips

1. Sugar is a good natural preservative. When making jam, the amount of sugar can be increased or decreased according to your taste, but it is best not to be less than 1/3 of the total amount of fruit. Too little sugar is not conducive to the preservation of jam. Maltose is rich in nutrients and has a special flavor, but its sweetness is only 1/3 of that of sucrose. If you don’t have it, you can use granulated sugar instead.

2. Apples are relatively sweet fruits. The addition of lemon can increase the fragrance and acidity of the jam, making the jam flavor better.

3. Bottle the jam while it is hot and then turn it upside down to further prevent the entry of air, which is beneficial for the preservation of the jam.

Benefits of eating apples

1. Antidiarrhea

Because apples are rich in tannic acid, malic acid, organic acid, pectin and cellulose, they have astringent effects.

Because apples are rich in tannic acid, malic acid, organic acid, pectin and cellulose, they have astringent effects

The pectin and cellulose in it can absorb bacteria and toxins, so it can help the intestines and stop diarrhea. Just eat one apple on an empty stomach every morning and evening to see the effect. To treat watery diarrhea, boil an appropriate amount of semi-ripe apples in water and eat them with the soup.

2. Laxative

The organic acids and cellulose in apples can promote intestinal peristalsis, soften stools and facilitate excretion. Therefore, eating apples can promote bowel movements and treat dry stools. It is best to eat apples baked.

3. Weight loss

Eating apples can give us a feeling of fullness, and the calories contained in apples are very low, so it is a very good food for people who are losing weight or want to lose weight.

The calories contained in a medium-sized apple will not exceed 100 kilocalories and it does not contain any fat, so it is very beneficial for weight loss.

4. Prevent and treat hypertension

Apples contain more potassium and less sodium. The potassium in apples can combine with excess sodium in the body and excrete it out of the body.
