Microwave Sweet Potatoes

Method 1: 1. Wash the sweet potatoes first so that there will be moisture on the surface of the sweet potatoes, then wrap the sweet potatoes tightly with a layer of kitchen paper or a plastic bag. 2. Place the wrapped sweet potatoes in the microwave and set on medium heat for 5 minutes (4 minutes for a smaller one, 8 minutes for a larger one). 3. Then take it out and press it with your hand. If it is not soft, turn it for another 2-3 minutes. If it is soft, remove it from the plastic bag and turn it over medium heat for about 3 minutes. Method 2: Take a whole sweet potato. Remember that the sweet potato pieces should not be too big, otherwise they will not be easy to cook or not cooked and will waste electricity. Wash the sweet potato first, wrap it with kitchen paper or toilet paper and put it directly into the microwave. As for the time, it depends on the size of the sweet potato pieces. If the heat is high, it will take at least four to five minutes.

Method three: Cut into slices so it is easier to cook. No need to poke holes in the slices and do not put them in a microwave oven. The water vapor produced will easily adhere to the sweet potatoes. Place the sweet potato slices directly on the turntable of the microwave oven and steam them on medium heat for 15 minutes, then for another 10 minutes. Do not steam them for such a long time at one time. Let the sweet potatoes cool in the microwave for a while before steaming them. No need to open the microwave door in the middle. The sweet potatoes baked in this way have a dry skin and are soft inside, just like the sweet potatoes bought outside, but cleaner.

Tips

Be sure to poke a few holes, otherwise the heat will not be able to dissipate. The microwave baked sweet potatoes will explode. Generally, the explosion time should not be too high. Check the softness and hardness for a few tens of seconds and turn the sweet potatoes over. The sweet potatoes baked in a microwave are not very delicious and not very authentic! However, the taste of sweet potatoes boiled in water and cooked in a microwave is different. The boiled sweet potatoes are very soft, as if they were boiled.
