The leaf stems also contain the medicinal ingredients apigenin, bergamotrin lactone and volatile oil, which have the effects of lowering blood pressure, lowering blood lipids, and preventing and treating atherosclerosis; it also has a certain auxiliary therapeutic effect on neurasthenia, menstrual disorders, gout, and muscle spasms; it can also promote gastric juice secretion and increase appetite.
