How to make peach steamed buns

How to make peach steamed buns

For those who have just entered the marriage hall, do you feel a little anxious? Since my parents prepared everything for me when I was young, now I have to do everything by myself. Do you feel uncomfortable? Especially cooking. Don’t worry, let me introduce you to the method of making peach buns.

1.1 When you see honeycomb-like structure inside the dough, you can start making it. Because you need to do styling, don't wait until the honeycomb tissue is too big.

2.2 Soak the yeast powder in a small amount of water for a few minutes, and then knead the flour into dough with appropriate amount of water.

3.1 Knead the dough until there are no holes when cut.

4.2 Place the dough on the chopping board, add flour and knead vigorously.

5.1 Add flour and knead again

6.2 Divide the kneaded dough into small portions

7.1 Use both hands to turn the dough, pinch the bun into a peach shape, and use the handle of a spoon to press out a mark in the middle of the peach.

8.2 Knead into a regular bun shape

9. Take a small portion of dough, add some matcha powder and knead it evenly (my matcha powder was originally very green, but because it was dark, it changed color, crying)

10. Take some green dough and make it into leaf shapes, using a spoon to press out leaf marks.

11. Peaches and leaves are combined together. Use a dry brush to dip a little red yeast rice powder and gently brush it on the mouth of the peach. Because some kitchen friends asked how to make the food look good, I would like to provide some additional explanation here. Use a brush to dip dry powder and brush from the bottom of the peach mouth to the top. Finally, use the brush to gently tap the peach mouth part to allow the powder to flow down naturally from the bristles. If you want it to be a little fresher, you can mix a little bit of it into the red yeast rice powder. Note that it should be a little bit of flour. The effect will be more natural.

12. Steam for 25 minutes after the water boils, turn off the heat and steam for 5 minutes before opening the lid. I have written my thoughts here, please pay attention. The second proofing time should not be too long. It is best to lightly press the peach marks once before steaming, otherwise it will return to the shape of steamed buns after steaming.

13. When the basket is served, it still looks like peaches~

Maybe someone in your family knows how to make peach buns, so now you can prove to your family that you can actually cook and take care of yourself and your loved ones.
