A beginner-friendly home-style dish! Seafood in Sprite and wasabi sauce is layered and delicious, with a refreshing sweetness and a hint of wasabi kick. It's easy to enjoy and appetizing, and it works well with any type of seafood. You can also add some vegetables to soak in the sauce. The sauce is also great for mixing with rice. I recommend using serving chopsticks and spoons when eating the seafood. After finishing the seafood, I soaked blanched black fungus in the remaining sauce – it was so delicious! The sauce is also great for mixing with rice.

Steps for making seafood with Sprite and wasabi sauce

Wash the whelks thoroughly with salt, and remove the shrimp whiskers and wash them clean.

Pour cold water into a pot, add knotted scallions, ginger slices, and cooking wine. Bring the water to a boil, add the shrimp, and remove them once they change color. Place them in ice water to cool. Pour the whelks into a pot of boiling water, cook for 2 minutes after the water boils, then pour them into ice water to cool. Drain the water and set aside.

In a large bowl, combine minced garlic, small limes, chopped chili peppers, cilantro, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and sugar. Mix well to make a sauce.

Mix the Sprite and mustard thoroughly, then pour them into the seasoning mixture and mix well.

Pour in the seafood and stir well. For best results, soak in the refrigerator for at least half an hour.
