Carrot and Onion Pork Pie Recipe

Nowadays, people are facing increasingly fierce competition, and three meals a day have become more and more casual. They want to cook by themselves but don’t have much time. In fact, even if they don’t have time, they can still make a simple and delicious home-cooked dish. Carrot, onion and pork pie is easy to make and tastes delicious, which is very suitable for office workers.

1. Chop the pork into minced meat and cut the carrot and onion into thin strips for later use.

2. Add scallion, ginger and all seasonings to the pork filling and mix well. Stir well and marinate for about half an hour.

3. After half an hour, add the carrot and onion shreds and mix well for later use.

4. Add warm water to the flour and stir with chopsticks until it becomes floc-like. Then use your hands to knead it into a smooth dough. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for half an hour.

5. After the dough has rested, divide it into about 14 portions. Then roll the dough into a thin sheet, thick in the middle and thin around the edges, like a bun wrapper.

6. Wrap the filling into the pastry, just like making dumplings.

7. After wrapping, it looks like a bun.

8. Turn the wrinkled side downwards and press gently into a pancake shape with your palm.

9. Pour a little oil into the frying pan, put the pancake into the pan, start frying on low heat, and fry both sides until golden brown.

10. After both sides are fried, add appropriate amount of water. Make sure the water at the bottom of the pot soaks half of the pancake. Cover the pot and simmer on low heat until the water is dry.

11. After the water dries up, continue frying for a while until the surface moisture is completely dry before removing from the pan.
