Braised Pomfret Recipe Steps
Step 1

Clean the pomfret, drain and cut it.
Step 2

Heat oil in a wok and fry the pomfret until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
Step 3

Leave some oil in the pot, add fermented bean paste and stir-fry until the oil turns red. Add scallions, ginger and garlic, and stir-fry until fragrant. Then add pomfret, soy sauce, cooking wine, sweet bean sauce, sugar, vinegar and an appropriate amount of water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat.
