Prepare all ingredients

Heat the pan and add plenty of oil.

Heat the oil and fry the chicken for a short while without stirring.

Continue stir-frying until the oil becomes clear.

Add ginger, white parts of scallions, and sliced garlic (I substituted scallion segments for garlic).
Step 6

After stir-frying until fragrant, add green bell peppers and small red chilies.
Step 7

Add 1 tablespoon of fermented bean paste, 3 tablespoons of light soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of white sugar.
Step 8

Just stir-fry until evenly mixed.
