Steps for making braised radish with a meaty flavor

Cut the white radish into chunks.
Heat oil, add ginger slices and white radish chunks, and stir-fry.

Add a suitable amount of cooking wine, 1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce, and 3 tablespoons of light soy sauce, stir-fry evenly.

Add a large spoonful of seafood sauce

Add white pepper powder

Add water until it covers the radish, and the water level is high enough that the radish pieces float slightly.

At this point, add 3 small star anise pieces and 1 small piece of cinnamon.

If you don't want to watch it, you can do what Aqin did and put it in a rice cooker to stew.

Add 3 teaspoons of white sugar

Add one rock sugar, the size shown in the picture.

Simmer until the sauce thickens and the radish turns a glossy color.

Remove from heat and sprinkle with Taihu scallions. Aqin's braised radish has a meaty flavor!
