Steps to make tender and delicious spicy chicken feet

Prepare the ingredients, mix the sauce, and clean the chicken feet (remove the toes) and set aside.

Add cold water, ginger slices, scallion segments, and a spoonful of cooking wine to the pot.

Chicken feet put into a pot of cold water

Bring to a boil and skim off the foam.

Boil for another five minutes and then remove.

Rinse thoroughly with hot water.

Wipe dry with kitchen paper and set aside.

Heat oil in a wok, then add rock sugar.

Simmer over low heat to caramelize.

Add chicken feet

Stir-fry until colored

Add boiling water to cover the chicken feet.

Add star anise, scallions, ginger, and garlic.

Pour in the pre-mixed sauce.

Add another spoonful of dark soy sauce

Bring water to a boil, cover and simmer over low heat for one hour.

An hour later, remove the spices, scallions, ginger, and dried chili peppers, and keep them.

If you want it to be very soft and tender, cook for another 20 minutes or so. Skip this step if you don't want it to be very soft.

Then pour in the rice cakes.

Mix well

Reduce the sauce over high heat for about five minutes.

Sprinkle with chopped chili peppers, scallions, and white sesame seeds.

Then you can plate it and enjoy!
